Madeline Carroll “Maddy or Mads” has spent more than half her life in front of a camera. She was born March 18, 1996 and raised in Los Angeles, California. She began modeling when she was only 3 years old, soon after she was discovered by her theatrical agent ”Wendy” in a nail shop in Sherman Oaks. Madeline, who is now 16, has appeared in feature films, television shows and national commercials. Most recently, she starred in Mark Waters’ ‘Mr. Popper’s Penguins’, alongside Jim Carrey and Marc Forster’s ‘Machine Gun Preacher’, starring Gerard Butler. Madeline is well known for the Rob Reiner coming-of-age comedy ‘Flipped’, a heartfelt movie about the pangs of first love between two young teens, Juli and Bryce, played by Madeline and Australian actor Callan McAuliffe.

This summer, she is working with Reiner again on ‘The Magic of Belle Isle’, a film about a wheelchair-bound author who moves to a rural town to reignite his passion for writing and befriends a single mother and her three kids. Maddy’s other film credits include ‘The Spy Next Door’, ‘Astro Boy’, her big break ‘Swing Vote’, ‘Resident Evil: Extinction’, ‘The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause’ and ‘When a Stranger Calls’.

Carroll is no stranger to television, either. She has appeared on ABC’s hit series “Lost”, “Private Practice” and “Grey’s Anatomy” as well as “Navy: NCIS”, “The Night Stalker,” “Wanted,” “Cold Case” and “All of Us”.
